About Complete Leather Restoration Kit
The Complete Leather Restoration Kit allows you to properly clean your leather, removing all surface dirt, grease and grime and then restore the colour to its former glory, before protecting and conditioning to keep it looking great. The kit includes:
Leather Ultra Clean
A safe-to-use, gentle, leather cleaner capable of removing even the toughest of stains from leather. Cleaning with a sponge to create a foaming action gets into the grain and lifts out dirt easily.
Leather Recolouring Balm
The Leather Recolouring Balm renovates the colour and aspect of all leather items, both old and new. There are 16 colours formulated for use on leather from a dark to light shade. It works great at recolouring areas that have been exposed to sunlight or direct heat and is ideal for colouring cat scratches and re-colouring dried out and faded areas. The Leather Recolouring Balm absorbs into your leather so will not rub off onto any clothes.
Leather Protection Cream
The Leather Protection Cream conditions and protects your leather as well as infusing that distinct leather aroma to keep your leather looking, feeling, and smelling fresh for longer.
Applicator Sponges
Includes our specialist Applicator Sponge to apply the Balm and Protection Cream, and a Leather Cleaning Sponge for us with the Ultra Clean.
NOTE: For scratches, the Recolouring Balm will only work if the scratch has gone to a lighter colour than the leather, if the scratch is darker you will need a Complete leather Repair Kit.
NOTE: For lighter patches, the Leather Recolouring Balm will only work if it is able to soak into your leather – to test this, put a tiny drop of water onto the damaged area and see if it soaks in within five seconds. If the leather is absorbent, the water will soak in and darken the leather. If the leather isn’t absorbent the water will bead up on the surface, and you will need a Complete Leather Repair Kit or Leather Colourant Kit.

Step 1.
Clean the leather first using the Leather Ultra Clean.
Dampen the Cleaning Sponge with water then squeeze out any excess. Pour a small amount of Leather Ultra Clean into the sponge and squeeze to create a foam. Rub the foam into the leather using circular motions to clean. Wipe away the excess foam with a clean cloth then allow to dry
Step 2.
Rub the balm into the leather in a circular motion to ensure absorption. This is enough to completely restore the colour. Take a clean cloth and then buff the surface of the leather. Make sure there is no excess balm left on the leather.
After buffing, the leather becomes 100% colourfast.
Step 3
For thorough protection, longevity of your leather and to reduce future fading, apply the Leather Protection Cream.
Shake the bottle then apply a small amount of Leather Protection Cream to the Applicator Sponge. Rub evenly onto the surface in a circular motion then leave to dry. Once dry, buff with a clean cloth then apply a second coat.

NOTE: Each colour as you can see is split into three shades, this is to indicate that each colour balm works on those different shades of the colour, i.e. from a light to dark shade. So the more balm you apply, the darker the leather becomes, this is why you are able to achieve varying shades of a colour.

Complete Leather Restoration Kit - FAQ
Q. Do I need to buy the kit, or can I just use the Leather Recolouring Balm?
A. The Balm will work fine on its own. However, if you don't clean the leather first you will be applying Balm on top of dirt, which can stop it from soaking in as well. Also, if some areas of the leather are dirty, this can cause it to look slightly odd compared to the new fresh colour applied with Balm.
Q. What is the difference between the Easy Restoration Kit and the Complete Restoration Kit?
A. The Easy Restoration Kit contains:
500ml Leather Ultra Clean
250ml Leather Recolouring Balm
1 x Cleaning Sponge
1 x Applicator Sponge
Whereas the Complete Kit also comes with 500ml Leather Protection Cream too. You use this afterwards to protect and nourish the leather. It will help stop stains and spills, and help prevent future fading. The Protection Cream nourishes the leather too, helping to keep it soft and supple.
Q. Can the Recolouring Balm be used on any type of leather?
A. Yes, however, the leather must be absorbent for it to work, or scratched to a lighter colour. You can test the leathers absorbency by dropping a small drop of water onto the surface of the leather and see if it soaks in or not. If it soaks in within five seconds and darkens the leather, then this is the ideal product for you. If the water does not absorb and beads up on the surface, we recommend using our Leather Colourant Kit or Leather Repair Paint.
The Recolouring Balm will work on non-absorbent leathers if the surface of the leather has been scuffed or scratched; showing a lighter colour beneath. Applying the Recolouring Balm will blend the damage in but will not repair it. For this, we recommend our Complete Leather Repair Kit.
