Patio Cleaner Coverage and Shelf Life
One 5L bottle cleans up to 50m², depending on surface condition and porosity.
Note: Avoid applying in direct sunlight or during rain.
1. Remove any furniture, planters and loose debris from the patio surface, then sweep the area to remove loose dirt and debris.
2. Shake well before use.
3. Apply Patio Cleaner generously to the surface using a watering can, sprayer or brush, ensuring even coverage across the patio or driveway.
4. Agitate with a stiff brush.
5. Leave to dwell for 1 hour without letting the product dry, allowing the cleaner to penetrate and lift the dirt.
6. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all traces of the cleaner.
7. Allow the surface to dry before using the space.
For stubborn stains: apply a second coat and allow to dwell slightly longer, without letting the product dry.
Tip: For any rust stains, remove first with our Rust Stain Remover for best results.
Q: Can I use this on all patio types?
A: This Patio Cleaner is suitable for most stone, concrete, and paving slabs but should not be used on limestone, sandstone, and black limestone. Always test on a small area first, especially on coloured or decorative stone.
Q: Does it remove algae and everyday grime?
A: Yes, the formula effectively removes grime, lichen build-up and tough black spots, restoring the natural look of your patio or driveway. For heavy build-up, multiple applications or a longer dwell time may be required.
Q: Do I need a pressure washer?
A: No, it works without a pressure washer - simply apply, leave to dwell, then rinse and away. It removes stubborn black spotting and lichen that pressure washing alone cannot remove, bringing your patio back to its original appearance.
Q: How long does it take to work?
A: You’ll usually see results within 1 hour. For heavy growth, a second application may be needed.
Q: Is it safe for pets and plants?
A: Keep pets and plants away from treated areas until fully dry. Avoid direct contact with lawns and flowerbeds.
