The 500ml of Wood Cleaner provided should be enough to clean the wooden furniture in your average sized home several times over.

The exact volume of cleaner used will vary significantly according to the finish, age and type of wood, as well as the amount of dirt that has accumulated.

If stored in a cool, dry place, with lids tightly fastened, all products in this kit will last for years without drying up or going off.

Before using the Beeswax Polish, It is important to ensure that the wood has been thoroughly cleaned using the Wood Cleaner:

Cleaning the Wood

  1. Shake bottle well, this is particularly important when the product is first used or if it has not been in use for some time.

  2. Spray the Wood Cleaner onto a cotton cloth and rub into the wood in a circular motion.

  3. The dirt will be absorbed by the cloth, as this happens rotate to a clean piece of cloth to prevent spreading the dirt and continue to clean. Extra pressure may be applied when cleaning unfinished wood as the wood will have absorbed the dirt and will require more cleaning.

  4. If the dirt is particularly stubborn or ingrained, you can spray the cleaner directly onto the surface of the wood and use an abrasive pad to clean. This cleaning action will turn the cleaner into a foam, which will then absorb the dirt. Wipe this away with a cotton cloth to reveal a lovely clean surface.

Once your furniture has been cleaned the Beeswax Polish should be applied.

Applying Beeswax Polish

  1. Ensure the surface is dust free

  2. Apply the Beeswax Polish onto a cloth and rub into the wooden surface following the direction of the grain

  3. Leave for 3-4 minutes and buff over with a cloth to restore the lustre

  4. Additional coats can be applied for extra protection or if applying to bare wood.
