About the product

Leather Stain Remover has been designed to remove stains from coated leather surfaces while causing little to no damage to the coating itself.

The product is a blend of mild solvents that together create a long molecule chain so that when used to remove stains, the product isn’t too aggressive.

It is safe to use on all types of leather except Suede & NuBuck but extra care should be taken when used on Bicast, Two Tone or Rub Off Leathers. If you have an absorbent type of leather, such as Aniline or Pull Up Leather (see if a drop of water soaks in), the Leather Stain Remover won’t be as effective. Instead, use the Leather Degreaser to remove stains from these types of leather.

Suitable For:

Leather Sofa, Armchair, Chairs and FurnitureLeather Car Seat or InteriorHandbagLeather Shoes, Boots or FootwearLeather Jacket or Clothing

Leather Stain Remover is capable of removing stains from all items of leather such as furniture, car interiors, clothes, shoes, handbags and all other items of leather.

  Aniline & Semi-Aniline Leather
  Pigmented Leather
Oil & Wax Pull Up Leather
  BiCast Leather
Two Tone, Mottled & Antique Finished Leather

Coverage & Shelf Life:

250ml Leather Stain Remover is enough to remove a very stubborn stain from an area of leather about 1 meter by 1 meter or larger, regardless of the cause or type of stain.

The product will not go out of date, but will slowly evaporate if the lid is left off. Store it in a cool cupboard with the lid tightly fastened.

Before & After Photos

This unusual Ostrich leather handbag had some nasty dark stains caused by drinks being spilled on it. The Leather Stain Remover was used to remove the stain with superb results, completely removing the stain. The bag was then treated with our Leather Protection Cream in order to guard against future stains.

This black leather car seat had a stubborn white gloss paint stain. With a bit of care, elbow grease and the application of Leather Stain Remover, the stain was completely removed without damage to the leather.

The bolster of this leather car seat had sustained a significant amount of dye transfer staining from the driver entering and exiting the vehicle. Using Leather Stain Remover the dye transfer was removed from the leather without a trace, leaving the seat looking as good as new!

Step 1.

Clean the leather thoroughly first using the Leather Ultra Clean. This product is easier to use and could remove the stain. If the leather is still stained, proceed to step 2.

Step 2.

Never apply the Leather Stain Remover directly to the leather. Instead, apply the stain remover onto a sponge. Gently wipe the surface of the leather where the stain is and the sponge will absorb the stain.

Step 3.

Wipe the area down with a wet cloth to remove any excess Leather Stain Remover.

Step 4.

Repeat steps if stain still persists.

To help prevent future staining and to make the leather easier to clean, apply Leather Protection Cream once every three months. If this is done, future stains will wipe off easily using a damp cloth or the Leather Ultra Clean. Both of these products can be purchased in one easy and convenient package, as part of our Leather Care Kit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of staining can Leather Stain Remover be used for?

Leather Stain Remover is specifically formulated to be incredibly versatile and has been tested on an extensive range of everyday stains including; Dye transfer from clothing, food and beverage spills, sticky marks, nail varnish and paint. All of these household stains can be tackled effectively with our Leather Stain Remover.

Can I use Leather Stain Remover on all types of leather?

Most, but not all; it is not suitable for use on items made from Suede and NuBuck leathers and is also less effective when used on absorbant leathers such as Analine or Pull-Up leathers. If you have an Analine or Pull-up leather item, you should use Leather Degreaser to remove the stain.

Leather Stain Remover is safe and effective when used on all other types of leather.

Will Leather Stain Remover help to protect against future staining?

No, it is formulated to be a highly effective stain remover only, it will not guard against future staining. We offer a highly effective leather stain protector in the form of our Leather Protection Cream, which forms an invisible barrier on the surface of your leather that repels grime and spillage of all types, holding them on the surface until they can be cleaned off and preventing future staining. This can be purchased individually or as part of the Leather Care Kit.

Is Leather Stain Remover difficult to use and will it damage my leather?

Leather Stain remover is designed to be used for quick and effective stain removal and is very simple to use, with full instructions provided. It is formulated to contain a mixture of mild solvents that are effective at breaking down stubborn stains but will not damage your leather. By carefully following instructions and applying the product carefully, with a sponge instead of directly on to the surface being treated, you can ensure that your stains will be removed without fear of causing damage to your leather.

Is Leather Stain Remover suitable for removing stains from any leather item?

Yes, as long as your leather item is not made from some of the more sensitive leathers listed above, it is suited for use on any leather item including: Sofas, chairs and upholstery, car interiors, clothing, shoes and handbags.

It Really Works

I wasn't sure about putting this onto a new cream leather chair, but had to do something. I had black dye transfer from a pillow I'd been using as a headrest. On first go, it faded. I left it until the next day when the sun came out and gave it another go. Completely gone. No trace left behind and no patch either. I was really amazed how it got in there in the end and quickly put the leather treatment on. Suite is back to its new condition again.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Brilliant Stuff

I had a pen stain on my cream leather seats in my Audi, the furniture clinic is just over the road from where I work so called in and bought this. Lifted the pen off with a cotton bud no problem, and has since removed jean dye etc without damaging the seats. Better to dab clean then scrub so you don't affect the texture.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Leather protector similar to guardsman one used recently so difficult to comment on long term protection. Stain remover worked brilliantly on a curry stain. Very good value for money.
