Leather is a widely used material and its use is increasing in popularity year in year out. The demand for more knowledge in leather is also increasing as a result of its increased popularity. We provide training courses teaching everything from the leather making process, identifying different leather types, cleaning & care procedures, ink & stain removal, repairs, restoration and re-colouring. |
Courses are run every month at our main premises in Gateshead. We also do bespoke courses where we travel direct to you. The list of areas where we hold courses are;
We run a series of different courses each teaching slightly different aspects of leather, from cleaning and basic repairs to restoration and colour change. Our courses are not just about furniture and upholstery, the skills and knowledge you will learn on a course can be used in other industries such as automotive, equine, clothing and many more.

This is our most popular course as it teaches you everything you need to know about leather: you will learn how leather is made, how to identify the different types of leather, and how to clean, condition and repair it!

This course is ideal for car restorers or anyone looking at being able to offer colour restoration or a colour change service to leather. This course is very hands on and teaches you how to bring old worn leather back to life.

Bespoke Courses
We can work around you and your company to meet your training requirements. Wether its just teaching your staff a basic understanding of leather or teaching everything from cleaning to restoration or 1 on 1 or group sessions, we listen to you to offer the best courses we can. Heres what we can do.
- Travel to your place of work for training
- Teach large groups or just 1 on 1
- Teach anything you want to know about leather and single out specific repairs. Theres no point teaching your staff how to repair a burn when all they need to know is how to touch up a small scuff!
Prices for Bespoke Courses
Our rate is £500 per day, thats the same for cleaning, repair or restoration, and its the same if you come to us or we travel to you. The only extra is our travelling & accomodation expenses. Group sizes don't effect the price. Its £500 a day for 1 on 1 or for a group of 10. We do have the following recommendations.
- Leather Repair: No more than 6 people
- Leather Restoration: No more than 4 people
- Leather Identification, theory & cleaning: No more than 10 people.
