The above photos are from a leather with an antique finish. This is where the leather has a base colour, with a darker version of that colour (almost black), sprayed over the top of it. The idea is that the leather will then have an aged or antique appearance where the base colour shows through the darker top colour. In this case, the top colour has been worn off in the head area and so, it needs re-applying. This is done using an Antique Finish Kit.

The above damage is of a cigarette burn on a ivory coloured leather sofa. The burn is cut out and the hole is then backed and filled using a Basic Leather Repair Kit. This kit makes the burn look like the rest of the leather, it makes a strong and effective repair. However, colour is needed to be applied to the leather afterwards. To do this use a Colour Repair Kit.

The photo's above are from a Wolsley where the leather has badly faded and cracked in certain areas. The colour is applied using a Leather Re-Colouring Balm, in red. With the re-colouring balm all you do is select the closest colour to your leather and it blends in. However, the re-colouring balm will only work if the damages are of a lighter colour than the leather. Also, we advised cleaing the leatehr first and then protecting it afterwards.

These photos are of a old worn blue leather sofa where the colour is badly cracked and worn away. In this case, the recolouring balm would improve the leathers appearance, but it wouldn't make it perfect! So, for this job we used a Leather Colourant Kit, with a tub of repair compound to fill in the cracks. For this type of restoration work you need to send us a sample of the leather so we can match the colour for you.

The photo above is of a Jaguar where the drivers bolster has badly worn away causing a hole to develop and the surround area to badly scuff and lose its colour. The hole is repaired using a Basic Leather Repair Kit, and the colour is applied and blended in using a small Leather Colourant Kit. A colourant kit was used this time as the area of colour loss is quite large and better results can be obtained when you spray the colour on. A colour match was required and so the cusomter sent us a sample of leatehr to do so.
