Description

The leather finishes have been designed to seal in and protect leather. These are the same finishes applied to leather when it is manufactured to seal in the dye or pigment and to protect it from its surroundings.

Uses

1. Seal in leather that is starting to fade and wear, this is very common with chesterfields and antiqued finished leather as the top coat wears away quite quickly exposing the bright colour beneath. If you apply this product every 2 or 3 years it will prevent this from happening. It may be necessary to apply this to areas of high use (seating panels) on other leathers to prevent them from fading faster than the rest of the leather.

2. Change the shine. The leather finish is available in matt, satin and gloss, so if your leather is looking dull and you want it to shine use the gloss or satin to putt some life back into the leather. Or if you prefer your leather matt, use the matt finish to kill the shine.

Instructions

  1. Clean the leather first before use. If the leather isn't too dirty use either a damp cloth to dust off any dirt or the Leather Mild Cleaner. If the leather is dirty use the Leather Ultra Clean to give it a good clean. If your leather is not clean this may cause problems as you will be sealing the dirt in.
  2. Apply the finish to the leather with either an aerosol can or with an air brush/spray gun depending upon what option you choose below. Apply one thin coat to the leather initially and then another. It doesn't matter how much you apply, its hard to make a mistake as its transparent, two coats is enough to thoroughly seal everything in, but if you have some left over there is no harm using it up!
  3. Leave the leather for 30 minutes and then buff it over with a soft cloth.
