Leather Colourant - A water based polyurethane colourant |
 |
The PU colourant offers exceptional scuff resistance and colour coverage, as it is designed especially for colour change and restoration.
The product is very thin so it can be easily mixed, but more importantly sprays through an airbrush or spray gun without any blockage.
The polyurethane colourant is specifically designed for colour change and restoration jobs. This is because of its high performance characteristics of increased rub fastness, scuff resistance and it offers a lovely soft, delicate texture.
The product is also ideal for fixing scuffs & scratches.

Matting Agent - Used to kill the gloss level of colourants |
 |
The matting agent is available in solvent based and polyurethane based - a version for both of our colourant systems.
Using a matting agent makes colour matching much easier as it helps you achieve the correct gloss level of the colour mix before perfecting the colour.

Leather Finish - An extremely strong and flexible lacquer |
 |
A polyurethane based lacquer used to seal in and protect the leather colourant. Developed to meet the high preformance specifications of the automotive industry this is the strongest and hardest wearing leather finish available.
Available in matt, semi-matt, satin, semi-gloss & gloss.
The finishes can also be mixed together to achieve any finish, i.e. matt & gloss 50/50 makes satin.

Cross Linker X - 2 part hardener used to strengthen polyurethane coatings |
 |
Cross Linker X is a very complex molecule used to enhance the physical properties of waterborne polyurethane coatings.
When mixed with the Leather Colourant or Finish, the Cross Linker starts a chemical reaction that quickly rids the coating of its water content and removes any impurities.
At this stage, the Cross Linker then proceeds to form a chemical bond between the molecules in the coating, creating a much tougher and harder wearing finish.

 |
Leather Dye - A highly concentrated leather dye |
 |
Leather Dye has two purposes;
1. It can be used to restore the colour to old & faded aniline style leathers or,
2. It can be used to create new hand dyed leather.
|
 |
Dye Fixative - Fixes the Leather Dye in place preventing it re-dissolving in water |
 |
The Dye Fixative is a thin liquid that once applied to dyed leather fixes the dye to the leather fibres making the dye less reactive to staining & water damage.
Once applied, it combines with the dye to form a larger and insoluble complex molecule, which restricts the dyes ability to re-dissolve in damp or wet conditions, making it less likely to stain or migrate.
